12/9/2014 Diane Ackerman & Norman Draper

We speak with Diane Ackerman about her new book The Human Age: The World Shaped by Us. She is the bestselling author of The Zookeeper's Wife and A Natural History of the Senses, among many other books, and she has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Nonfiction.

We also talk with Minnesota author Norman Draper about his debut novel Backyard, which satirizes suburbia. He spent 35 years as a newspaper reporter in Minneapolis, Colorado and Mississippi. He is currently at work on the follow-up to Backyard.
