We speak with James Stitt about his new novel Rise of the Spring Tide, which was recently named a finalist for a Minnesota Book Award in Genre Fiction. He is also the author of Sagar’s Tale. His works explore our mythologies and the intuitive knowledge of the ancients.
We also talk with Carolyn Holbrook, Marcie Rendon and Anh-Hoa Thi Nguyen about More Than a Single Story. Anh-Hoa Thi Nguyen is a poet, community artist, activist and educator. She is the founder of Pomelo Press and is a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant Winner. Carolyn Holbrook is an adjunct professor of creative writing at Hamline University and is a writer, educator, and long-time advocate for the healing power of the arts. She also won a MN Book Awards Kay Sexton Award. Marcie Rendon, an enrolled member of the White Earth Nation, is a playwright, poet, and freelance writer. Her debut novel is Murder on the Red River.
