We speak with local author Mary Logue about her new book Killer Librarian. She is a poet, editor, teacher and writer who has written the Claire Watkins mystery series, four volumes of poetry and a young adult novel.

We also talk with Nicholas Soutter about his debut science fiction novel The Water Thief, which was awarded the Kirkus Star. The book was written as a response to Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged and posits a future owned by corporations.

We talk with Wisconsin author Michael Schumacher about his new book November's Fury: The Deadly Great Lakes Hurricane of 1913. He has written twelve books, including Mighty Fitz: The Sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald and Wreck of the Carl D.

We also speak with St. Paul author Diane Hammond about her new novel Friday's Harbor, a sequel of sorts to her critically acclaimed and best-selling novel Hannah's Dream. She is also the author of three other novels and she was the publicist for the aquarium that housed Keiko the Killer Whale.

We speak with Kate DiCamillo about her new book Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures. She has just been named the next National Ambassador of Young People's Literature by the Library of Congress. Her novel The Tale of Despereaux won the Newbery Medal and Because of Winn-Dixie was a Newbery Honor Book. Flora & Ulysses is #5 on the NYT Bestsellers List and was longlisted for the National Book Award.

We also speak with Kent Nerburn about his new book The Girl Who Sang to the Buffalo. He is a two-time Minnesota Book Award-winner, for Neither Dog Nor Wolf and The Wolf at Twilight and he has written many books about Native American culture and spirituality, including Chief Joseph & the Flight of the Nez Perce: The Untold Story of an American Tragedy.
