We also chat with J. Otis Powell and Katherine Pehrson about J. Otis Powell's work and artistic philosophy. J. Otis Powell is one of the founders of Write On! Radio and is a poet and improvisational artist who transcends the traditional boundaries of poetry. His CD BALM! was released by TruRuts/Speakeasy Records in late 2012.

Katherine Pehrson is an instrumentalist, vocalist, actor, student and writer who has worked with J. Otis Powell.

We speak with Holly Day about her new book, which she wrote with Sherman Wick, Nordeast Minneapolis: A History. She has been a freelance writer for over 25 years and teaches at the Loft Literary Center. Along with Sherman Wick, she has written several books about the Twin Cities, including The Insider's Guide to the Twin Cities and Walking Twin Cities.

We also chat with Deborah Levy-Bertherat about her debut novel The Travels of Daniel Ascher, translated from the French by Adriana Hunter. She teaches comparative literature at the École Normale Supérieure and has translated Lermontov's A Hero of Our Time and Gogol's Petersburg Stories into French.
