We speak with Robert Crais about his new Elvis Cole and Joe Pike novel The Promise. He is the author of 20 novels, including Sunset Express, Suspect and Taken. He has won the Barry, Anthony, Macavity and Shamus Awards, and in 2010, he was named Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America.

We then speak with B.A. Shapiro about her new novel The Muralist. She is also the author of six previous novels: The Art Forger, The Safe Room, See No Evil, Blameless, Shattered Echoes and Blindspot as well as the nonfiction work The Big Squeeze and four screenplays.
