We speak with Anna George Meek about her newest poetry collection, The Genome Rhapsodies. She is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant, two Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowships, and an Academy of American Poetry Prize. Her first book, Acts of Contortion, won the Brittingham Prize in Poetry and her chapbook Engraved won the Snowbound Chapbook Competition.
We then speak with our own Amy Fladeboe about the Fiction takeover of the January Bosso Poetry Company show. Amy teaches at Normandale and Century Colleges, and her novel-in-progress, Boys Not Yet Men, tells the story of an Albanian refugee who flees a dictatorship for the American Dream. She is also a 2015 recipient of an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
