We speak with David Downing about his new novel Jack of Spies. He is the author of six books in the John Russell espionage series, set in WWII-era Berlin, including Zoo Station, Potsdam Station and Masaryk Station.

We’ll also talk with Gabrielle Zevin about her new novel The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. She is the author of 8 novels for adults and young adults, including an American Library Association Notable Book, Elsewhere, Margarettown, and The Hole We're In.

We speak with Jules Nyquist – a former Write on Radio co-host who now lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she leads creative writing classes and hosts visiting poets at the Poetry Playhouse. Her previous poetry collection, Appetites, was a finalist for the New Mexico/Arizona 2012 Book Awards. Her newest collection is called Behind the Volcanoes.

We’ll also talk with John Roche, who lives in the Genesee River/Western Finger Lakes Region of New York State and teaches at the Rochester Institute of Technology. His previous books include On Conesus, Topicalities, and Road Ghosts. His newest book, Mo’ Joe: The Anthology will be released by Beatlick Press in this month. He and Jules Nyquist will be reading Thursday, June 12th, at 6 p.m. at the Hennepin County History Museum.

And we’ll chat with Kate Christensen about her new memoir Blue Plate Special. She is the author of the novels In the Drink, Jeremy Thrane, The Epicure’s Lament, Trouble, The Astral and the PEN/Faulkner award-winning The Great Man.
